Product Description
An Ag Grinding Mill is a large rotating drum where ore is fed directly. Instead of using steel balls or rods, the mill relies on the natural impact and attrition between ore pieces to achieve grinding.

Customization process
Cylinder Rolling
High-strength steel plates are rolled into cylinders on a plate rolling machine and welded to form the cylinder using submerged arc welding.
Cylinder Welding and Stress Relief
After the welds are completed, they are annealed to eliminate welding stress and ensure cylinder stability.
Cylinder Machining
End faces and locating holes are turned to ensure concentricity and perpendicularity during assembly with the end cap.
End Cap Rough Machining
The end cap outer diameter, end face, and inner bore are turned to form the basic assembly reference.
End Cap Finishing
The spindle hole and bolt holes are fine-bored to ensure a precise fit with the cylinder and spindle.
Gear Ring Casting
High-strength gear ring blanks are produced using either integral or segmented casting methods.
Gear Ring Rough Machining
The inner bore, outer diameter, and end face are turned to ensure accuracy in subsequent tooth profile machining.

FAQ
Q: What is an AG Grinding Mill?
A: An AG (Autogenous) Grinding Mill is a type of grinding equipment where the ore itself acts as the grinding media, reducing material size through impact and attrition inside a rotating drum.
Q: How does an AG Grinding Mill work?
A: The mill is partially filled with ore; as the drum rotates, larger pieces of ore crush smaller pieces, achieving the grinding effect without using steel balls or rods.
Q: What are the main advantages of AG Grinding Mills?
A: They reduce operating costs by eliminating external grinding media, handle large capacities, and are energy-efficient when processing competent ores.
Q: Where are AG Grinding Mills commonly used?
A: They are widely used in mining and mineral processing industries, especially in plants for copper, gold, iron ore, and platinum group metals.
Q: What is the difference between AG and SAG Mills?
A: AG mills use only the ore itself for grinding, while SAG (Semi-Autogenous) mills add a small amount of steel balls to improve grinding efficiency for harder ores.
