1. Material control
Raw material testing: chemical composition analysis of raw materials (spectrometer testing) and mechanical properties testing (hardness, tensile strength).

2,Heat treatment and surface strengthening of input pinion shaft
Carburizing and quenching process: Control the depth of the carburizing layer (e.g. 0.8~1.2mm) and the surface hardness (HRC 58-62) to avoid overcooking or soft spots. And verify the organization uniformity by microhardness tester and metallographic analysis.
Nitriding/Induction hardening: Surface strengthening of input pinion shaft for special requirements to improve wear resistance.
